Setting Up Labour Rates

Administrators should set up labour rates for their location to ensure accurate pricing for their customers. 

There are three options for setting labour rates:

1. One single rate for both Jaguar and Land Rover
2. Two rates, one for Jaguar and one for Land Rover
3. Many rates based on model, age, and brand

Setting one single rate for both brands:

1. Click the Administration tab. 
   
2. Click the System Settings tab. 
3. Enter the Labour Cost per hour and Labour Retail per hour amounts in the provided fields. 
   
   
   1. Labour Cost per hour: Internal retailer's cost, per hour.
   2. Labour Retail per hour: Rate charged to the customer, per hour.
4. Tick the Use above labour cost/retail as default box. 
   
5. When ready, click Save.

Setting two rates, one for each brand:

1. Click the Administration tab. 
   
2. Click the System Settings tab. 
3. If ticked, untick the Use above labour cost/retail as default box.
    
   
   1. It does not matter if the Labour Cost per hour or Labour Retail per hour fields are filled in. 
4. Click Set Labour Rates For Brands. 
   
5. A pop-up window appears. Enter the Labour Cost and Labour Retail amounts for each brand and click OK. 
   
   
   1. Labour Cost: Internal retailer's cost, per hour.
   2. Labour Retail: Rate charged to the customer, per hour.
6. When ready, click Save.

Setting multiple rates based on model, age, and brand:

1. Click the Administration tab. 
   
2. Click the System Settings tab. 
3. If ticked, untick the Use above labour cost/retail as default box. 
   
   
   1. It does not matter if the Labour Cost per hour or Labour Retail per hour fields are filled in. 
4. Click Set Labour Rates For Brands. 
   
5. A pop-up window appears. Click the Jaguar and/or Land Rover brand links to set labour rates by model. 
   
6. Choose appropriately from the Age (Years) and Model drop-down menus to find the desired vehicle. 
   
   
   1. Note: This example shows Land Rover; however, the pop-up window for Jaguar appears and functions the same. 
7. Enter the Labour Cost and Labour Retail amounts and click Save 
   
   
   1. Labour Cost: Internal retailer's cost, per hour.
   2. Labour Retail: Rate charged to the customer, per hour.
8. As vehicles are added, they will build a matrix of labour rates by model and age range. 
   
9. Click Close to return to the System Settings.
