For example, Job A has a retail labour rate of £100, and a part price of £10 (Retail) and £1 (Cost).
Retail Minus: With 10% on Labour and 10% on Parts
- Retail Labour Rate - % on Labour = £100 - 10% = £90
- Retail Part Cost - % on Parts = £10 - 10% = £9
- Total = £99
Cost Plus: With 10% on Labour and 10% on Parts
- Retail Labour Rate - % on Labour = £100 - 10% = £90
- Part Cost + % on Parts = £1 + 10% = £1.10
- Total = £91.10
Uplifting Prices Using Retail Minus: With -10% on Labour and -10% on Parts
- Retail Labour Rate - % on Labour = £100 - (-10%) = £110
- Retail Part Cost - % on Parts = £10 - (-10%) = £11
- Total = £121
