Menu Pricing administrators play a vital role; it is their responsibility to ensure the dealer is set up correctly before the tool is used to quote customers. If the solution is not set up properly, functionality may not work and customers may receive inaccurate quotes.
Once initially set up, administrators are then responsible for maintaining the account, including the following functionalities:
- User Set Up and Maintenance: Administrators must create and manage users as needed. This can include resetting a user's password if they forget it. For more information, see Adding/Removing a User, Editing a User, or Resetting a User's Password.
- Organisation Details: If the details of an organisation are incorrect within Menu Pricing, it can create a host of problems. Be sure to update these as needed. See Updating Retailer Details for more information.
- Customer Types: Customer types can be used to easily provide a discount when necessary. Administrators are in charge of making sure these customer types are maintained. See Adding Customer Types, Removing Customer Types, and Updating Customer Types for details.
- Generic Jobs: These custom jobs (e.g. complimentary car wash) can be created for any number of desired service jobs not currently listed. Administrators are in charge of creating and maintaining them. See Creating a Local Job and Deleting a Local Job for more information.
- Generic Parts & Fluids (including oils): To ensure accurate quoting, generic parts and fluids must be set up with local pricing and descriptions. Inaccuracies will result in inaccurate quotes. See Setting Up Generic Fluids and Oils to get started.
- Labour Rates: Administrators should set up labour rates for their location to ensure accurate pricing for their customers. See Setting Up Labour Rates to begin.
- System Settings: Menu Pricing can be configured through the System Settings tab to meet your needs. See Navigating Administration System Settings for a closer look.
- Stock Upload: To show current stock information within Menu Pricing, administrators must upload parts stock files to maintain these details. See Uploading Stock Files for more information.
